Samsung's planning for custom CPU design again after failure of Mongoose cores

A new rumor coming out of South Korea claims that Samsung is looking to create a new team to develop custom CPU designs based on ARM architecture. Apparently, bothQualcomm and Samsung are unhappy with the performance gains fromARM’s recently announced Cortex-X2 core, and they might consider developing custom cores for their futureExynos chips. The South Korean firm is already in talks with CPU engineers fromAMD andApple, and it may hire a senior CPU designer who worked on multiple chipsets from Apple.

Yeah, they should rebrand the chipset. Exynos has not earned much fame.

I am also using a 990. Didn't face that much problem as people are saying.

Mine is a S20 Fe. It heats up like crazy. I had to buy a Realme Mobile cooler. Also when it heats up, it doesn't charge. Restarting the phone makes it even hotter. My previous LG V30 plus with SD 835 and 4 GB ram performed better than my S20 Fe with Exynos 990 and 8GB ram, especially for gaming, S20 fe just heats up randomly and starts thermal throttling the moment the temperature goes above 42-43 Deg C. The camera is great though.

Exynos must completely replaced. Horrible laggynos and heater processor. Present exynos processor not suitable for gaming 🙏
