Samsung merging with Google?

Looking at the recent developments including the Unpacked and the future AI arenas, I wonder whether Samsung is slowly merging with Google? 

Hardware innovation in Samsung is now saturated. Software development is very slow and half hearted. Exclusive apps of Samsung are now being shared by Google. Marketing and Market share are the new Mantras of Samsung, in contrast with their value based and innovative image...

All these points are indicative of my above reference.
