Samsung’s upcoming budget phone equipped with a removable battery has been approved by Bluetooth and the certificate reveals an interesting detail about the device: its name. Up until now, Samsung’s mysterious budget phone was known solely by the model number SM-A013F, leading some people to believe that the device will be released as the Galaxy A01e. We previously pointed out the reason why this is highly unlikely and Bluetooth SIG has now confirmed our expectation. According to the certificate that was published earlier today, the SM-A013F will hit the market as the Galaxy A01 Core.

Samsung’s Galaxy Core lineup makes a comeback?

Samsung’s Core-labeled smartphones are budget devices through and through. The most recent phone to carry the Core branding was the Galaxy J2 Core (2020) – a re-release of the original Galaxy J2 Core that was unveiled in August 2018. There was also the Galaxy A2 Core in-between the original J2 Core and its refresh, and the reason why we bring up these Galaxy Core models is because they all share one characteristic. You’ve guessed it: they all have a user-removable battery. And true to the moniker, the upcoming Galaxy A01 Core is also expected to follow this all but forgotten design.
