Samsung Internet is a powerful, feature-packed browser for Android devices. Ranging from a number of privacy and security features to browser customization, it is a one stop solution for all your browsing needs.

Check out a few tips and tricks or as we like to call them ‘shortcuts’, below, to further make your browsing experience easier and more fun!

Scroll up to the top from anywhere on the webpage

You can scroll right up to the start of the page from wherever you are using the ‘Go to top button’

To enable this, go to Settings -> Webpage view and scrolling -> Show go to top button

Open a link in a new background tab

Imagine how easy it would be if we could open a link in a background tab without having to interrupt our browsing. You can do this by the ‘Open in background tab’ feature.

To use this feature, simply long tap on a link and click on ‘Open in background tab’ and the link will open in a tab in the background.

Save all images on a webpage with a single click

What if you can't decide the images you would like to use from the dozens appearing on a webpage? Unlike most of the browsers, Samsung Internet gives you an option to conveniently download all the images on the webpage with a single click.

Just long press on an image and select ‘Save all the images on this page’. You can also select the number of images to be downloaded and your download will start immediately on clicking the ‘Download’ option.

Swipe to switch between tabs

Switching between tabs has never been easier. Swipe right on the address bar or the bottom bar to go to the previous tab and swipe left to go to the next tab. That’s it, so easy to remember.

View video history separately

You can easily search for a video you saw days ago in Samsung Internet. No more going through an endless browsing history to search for that one video.

To do this, go to History and then click on ‘Video history’. A history of the all the videos you have watched in SI is displayed here.

Create a new tab

Remember how you used to go to the tab section and then click on ‘New tab’ to open a new tab? Well, you can open a new tab in a much easier and shorter way.
Just long press on the tab icon on the bottom bar and a new tab is opened.

Go back to a previous webpage on a tab easily

We all have, at some point of time, endlessly clicked on the back option to go to a previous webpage or a webpage opened 3-4 webpages before. Samsung Internet makes it easier to go back to a particular page by just one tap.

To do so, press and hold the ‘back’ icon. A pop-up containing the current tab back history and an option to open the browser history is displayed.

Open browser settings

To instantly open browser settings, just press and hold the menu icon and the ‘Internet Settings’ page would be displayed.

Edit the address in the URL bar

Apart from tapping on the address bar to search or edit a URL, you can also press and hold the ‘Homepage’ icon for easy editing of the same.

Lock the Secret Mode

Browser privacy has been taken a notch up by the ability to lock the secret mode. No more worrying about someone snooping around your private browsing. You can lock the secret mode using a biometric lock.

To do this, go to Settings -> Personal browsing data -> Secret mode settings -> Use password

Change search engine without opening Settings

Apart from setting and modifying the default search engine in browser settings, you can also change the search engine while searching from the URL bar.

To do this, click on the search engine icon on the address bar and select the search engine you want to use from the drop-down list.

*Note- This does not change your default search engine. Default search engine can only be changed from browser settings.

Organize bookmarks easily

Ever wondered how easy it would be to keep track of your bookmarks if you could organize them into different folders depending on the content? Well, no more wondering as you can easily organize your bookmarks in SI.

To make a bookmarks folder, go to Bookmarks -> menu -> Create folder -> Write the name of your folder and click on ‘Create’

Not everyone knows this. So it is ok to be reposted. I have seen a lot of samsung users not even know the basic features that samsung has to offer and hence they think samsung phone is just like anyother phone. So it is ok for them to repost stuff like this.
