Tech TalkSamsung started rolling out the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update for Galaxy S21 FE smartphones a couple of weeks ago. Now the company is rolling out a new software update for the device that installs the latest April 2022 Android security patch.
The update is released for the carrier-locked Galaxy S21 FE device owners in the US. However, it’s expected that the OEM won’t take much time to expand this update to more users in various regions.
Further, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE April 2022 update mainly enhances the security and stability of your device’s system to provide you with seamless performance. Additionally, it protects your phone from unwanted bugs and viruses.
This update also comes with fixes for 55 vulnerabilities from Google and 33 from Samsung including improper authentication vulnerability in S Secure, and improper authentication in IMSService, Samsung Contacts app, Knox Manage, StroageManager, and StroageManagerService.
Aside from these, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE April 2022 update holds the One UI build version G990USQS3CVC4 and is currently only available on Comcast’s network in the US.
To download and install it, head over to the Settings of your smartphone. Now enter Software update and click Download and install. The device will check for available software activity, if available, tap Download now to fetch it to your device.
