GOOGLE is sending spam messages using RCS.

THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED.

1. No matter how many times you BLOCK them they constantly comes back with new IDs.
2. They change their IDs but not their Goals, which is SPAMING PEOPLE.
3. @GOOGLE , @SAMSUNG - PLEASE STOP THESE NON SENSE!
4. Weird thing is, It's showing that @JIO has verified this Sender's ID, HOW SHAMEFUL THEY ARE!
[TO THE PEOPLE WHO THINKS USING SAMSUNG MESSAGE APP WILL SOLVE THE ISSUE, LET ME TELL YOU - NO MATTER WHICH APP YOU USE, YOU WILL GET THESE SPAM MESSAGES IF YOU ARE USING RCS]

TEMPORARY SOLUTION:

IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THESE SPAMS - TURN OFF RCS FOR GOOD.
NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE RCS FEATURES.

Dear Valued Customer,

I understand your frustration with the persistent spam messages you're receiving via RCS (Rich Communication Services), despite attempts to block them. This is indeed a concerning issue that has affected many users in India.

Current Measures and Developments:

Google's Initiatives: To combat RCS spam, Google has introduced a 'STOP' button in its Messages app, allowing users to unsubscribe from RCS Business Messages (RBM) with a single tap. This feature is designed to help users easily opt out of unwanted communications.

Disabling RCS Ads in India: In response to the surge in spam, Google previously disabled RCS ads in India to protect users from unsolicited messages.

Steps to Mitigate Spam:

Disable RCS Chat Features:

On Samsung Messages App: Open the Samsung Messages app. Tap the three-dot menu or your profile icon. Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Chat settings' or 'Chat features'. Toggle off 'Chat features' or 'Enable chat features'. On Google Messages App: Open the Google Messages app. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner. Select 'Messages settings' > 'Chat features'. Toggle off 'Enable chat features'.

Disabling RCS will revert your messaging to standard SMS/MMS, which may reduce spam occurrences.

Report Spam Messages:

In the messaging app, select the spam message. Tap 'Report spam' or 'Block and report spam'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Collaborative Efforts:

Samsung is actively collaborating with carriers and partners to enhance spam detection and prevention mechanisms. We acknowledge the inconvenience this issue causes and are committed to improving your messaging experience.

Additional Resources:

If you continue to experience issues or have further concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to Samsung Customer Support. We are here to assist you.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for your continued trust in Samsung.

Best regards,

Samsung Customer Support
