S10 plus New Biometric security Update

Guys, I got the new Biometric security update on my Galaxy S10 plus today.It says to update then restart and to re-register your fingerprint without using Screen protector. 

As I am presently using my phone with UV screen protector I am in doubt.Whether to update or not.My fingerprint scanner is very slow and most of the time it doesn't open after I put the scren protector on. But I am adjusting only because of the fear of dropping it. 

Can I update it without removing my screen protector? What Should I do?
