Reviving the Samsung Members Community: A Path Forward

The Samsung Members Community, once a thriving platform connecting Samsung users and staff, has experienced a decline in recent years. Since its peak in 2019-2020, engagement has decreased, with fewer valuable contributions and diminished interaction between members and staff. Here's a vision to revitalize this incredible community.

---

Challenges

Reduced Interaction: Most posts are now limited to Galaxy Gallery uploads, issue reports, and updates.

Loss of Valuable Members: Previously active contributors have moved away, leading to a decline in insightful articles and discussions.

Minimal Staff Engagement: Unlike other brand communities, staff interactions are rare, weakening the connection to the brand.

---

Suggestions for Revitalization

1. Introducing a Community Calendar

A structured yearly calendar can include:

Daily Check-ins: Members can log in daily to earn points, with bonuses for streaks.

Weekly Activities: Fun contests (e.g., photography, themed posts) to engage the community.

Monthly Themes: For example, "Play of Light and Shadows" for December, encouraging themed entries.

Regular Updates: Weekly highlights, monthly summaries, and annual celebrations to keep everyone informed and motivated.

2. Reward System with Points

Earn points by participating in activities, which can be redeemed for:

Samsung merchandise (cases, cables, adapters, etc.) during exclusive monthly sales.

Discounts on Samsung Shop (e.g., ₹1 = 1 point, up to a limit).

Community-designed merchandise for purchase, enhancing the feeling of belonging.

3. Exclusive Product Launch Programs

User Testing: Select members test unreleased devices, providing valuable feedback before launch.

Community Reviews: Early access for selected members to review new products and share their impressions.

Launch Event Participation: Fully sponsored trips for members, with exclusive perks and memorabilia.

4. Enhancing Staff Interaction

Regular Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions with Samsung teams (software, hardware, etc.).

Organize Community Meetups in major cities (Noida, Bangalore, Mumbai, etc.) for hands-on experiences.

Host an Open Ear Forum, allowing global members to meet HQ staff, share feedback, and discuss ideas.

The Power of Community

By implementing these suggestions, the Samsung Members Community can become an active, engaging space where users feel valued and connected to the brand. This renewed vibrancy will not only boost engagement but also spread positive word-of-mouth — the most powerful form of marketing.

See the community has become hopeless.

Things have went Total downhill.

Members left.

People disappointed.

Sales up, but the customer is not satisfied at all .

Then comes ignorance, as it's a bliss.

Event I'm inactive if you see.

This is a desperate yet hopeless attempt to revive things.

They stopped valuing their users, they won't suffer because they have established a immense cash flow form offline sales (basically fooling avarage consumer who doesn't understand).

TM ROH has brought Samsung a lot of cash and sales.

That's success .

But

Soon things will do down.

Let's see what happens .

TM ROH is businessman this was the person who was responsible for the curved screen and now the same person who has not removed the curved screen

But apart from curved or not

Many thing he removed like iris scanner and hr in the phone
Many more features he removed if he removed the curved screen that was the great move from the start but removing other features are not ok to remove
Tech Talk

Nope

Curved was pushed by DJ KOH.

  • TM ROH is more of a flat guy.
