Redefined Contacts Permission Dialog, Concept #1

Years and years have passed, but the security and privacy on the user side have not been that improved. When an application request for permission system will grant all the access and data to that app. Users only have a choice either Allow or Deny. But this new concept will allow users to choose which data to allow and which data to deny also users can manage micro_permission related to that specific permission. Here's the concept.

Custom Selection Area

Coose between data

Or allow all the data

And maybe you want to have certain micro-permission to be checked

Just untick it.

Good concept. Samsung only implements what is set by Google though

Don't you think it's time to step up. And do beyond what AOSP has to offer. What are your thoughts?

Agree but doing so will only become a headache for developers. It will further fragment the android experience. So there needs to be some standardization across different manufacturers

I have thought of that already. Implementing this does not fragment any of current system. On os side It can be integrated into current permission management system and on app developer side nothing needs to be done. I am creating full document on how to and what to.

Some custom roms like graphene do have some implementation of your concept, not exactly same though. Good luck
