I have bought a new phone yesterday through flipkart. I checkf the phone warranty on samsung Digital Service Centre and it's reflecting the phone is under warranty till 31st December 2025. Furthermore, I have tried to register my new phone with samsung using samsung members application, however it's not allowing me to register and prompting that the device is already registered. Can someone help me understand if I have received an already activated product?

Congratulations on your new phone!

The issue you're facing with registering your device on the Samsung Members app suggests that the device might have been previously activated or registered. Here are some possible explanations:

Possible Reasons
1. *Refurbished or Used Device*: Although you purchased a new phone, it's possible that the device was previously used or refurbished and then resold as new.
2. *Demo Unit*: The phone might have been used as a demo unit in a retail store, and the sales representative might not have deactivated it before selling it to you.
3. *Error in Samsung's System*: There could be an error in Samsung's system, causing the device to show as already registered.

Steps to Resolve the Issue
1. *Contact Samsung Support*: Reach out to Samsung's customer support and explain the situation. They can help you investigate and resolve the issue.
2. *Visit a Samsung Service Center*: Take your device to a nearby Samsung authorized service center. They can check the device's history and help you register it.
3. *Contact Flipkart*: As you purchased the phone from Flipkart, you can also contact their customer support and report the issue. They might be able to assist you in resolving the matter.
4. *Check the Device's IMEI Number*: Ensure that the IMEI number on the device matches the one on the box and in the Samsung Digital Service Centre.

I have contacted Samsung and they stated to contact to flipkart. So I have contacted flipkart customer care and they asked me to reach out to samsung customer care or samsung service centre. I will visit to samsung service center and hoping the resolution.
I have verified the imei and it matches

First You need to contact Flipkart.
Reach out to them and clear the scenario. And return the device.

If they dont accept the return then just let them know that this is a clear case of cheating and will log a complaint in consumer court..

But before that check the T&C might be they have written this and hide from the user.

But in all best is to contact Flipkart..

If you got my point and understand then accept this as resolution.. by taping on 3 dots..

Flipkart customer care is not at all helpful, they are simply stating that this is samsung issue.
I told them that this perhaps the issue from the seller side and seller is doing business with flipkart. So technically, flipkart should bear the responsibility if a seller doing any illegal practice. But the are least bothered about it.
