One UI 7: App Archive feature

Galaxy smartphone users can save storage space by archiving unused applications. It allows you to save storage even without completely uninstalling the app.

App Archiving will let you free up space by temporarily removing unused apps. When an app is archived, its software, permissions, temporary files, and notifications are cleared, but the app icon and data remain intact.

When needed, you can easily restore the app without losing your personal settings or progress. Considering you have downloaded a big game but haven’t played it in months, you can archive it to save storage while keeping your saved game progress safe.
