One UI 2.5 is compatible with Android 10’s full-screen navigation gestures when used in third-party app launchers. Full-screen navigation gestures seem to be working on the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7+, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also run Android 10 with One UI 2.5, so they will be compatible with full-screen navigation gestures inside third-party apps. Google had released the feature last year, and it took Samsung almost a year to bring it to Galaxy phones.
If you’re someone who doesn’t like Samsung’s stock app launcher, you can now switch to a third-party app launcher knowing fully that Android 10’s full-screen navigation gestures would work on new Galaxy devices. It is being reported that the implementation of full-screen navigation gestures is a little janky on the new devices right now, and animations are not as smooth as we expect. However, that could be fixed by third-party app developers.
