The notification alert on S10+ around the punch hole flashes just for 3-4 sec, and then it goes off... Rather it should remain flashing until that notifications is addressed or the user accesses the phone. We do have 3rd party apps for that, but we don't want to grant our notification access permissions to them.

Then it will drain more battery but i agree it should be there for atleast 15-20 seconds

Just like 'Screen Timeout' feature on some devices, we have options ranging from '15 seconds' to 'Never'.. Samsung should allow users to decide this in case of Edge lighting too..

Yes, this can be considered or like if we miss edge lighting but the moment we pick up our device, it starts glowing, that will also help something like smart alert

Yes, at the end, we just need this feature to be more flexible.., like the duration between subsequent flashes can also be increased.. Rather to keep it continuous, we can keep it discrete..
