RAM is important in order to load multiple app running at same time, but now a days smart phones are just increasing RAM size, which doesn't increase performance, and to be honest 6GB is lot of RAM to run multiple apps. The smart phone companies need to work more on optimization of the os rather than than just increasing ram memory which is just useless. RAM though is used to speed up the loading but increasing memory without optimization would mean, it will take longer for processor to look up in RAM memory, consequently degradating performance.
i would rather have 6GB ram than 12GB. there is no difference if software isn't optimized for it.
