I have been using Samsung Mobiles since my childhood from the keypad once to samsung champ to corby and then the evolving android touch screens in all these I learned that ... Samsung has curved their batteries in such a way that when there is a black content on our screen . let's say our screen is off and we can see nothing saves our battery. But been Samsung whatever black is there on our phone saves battery too even when we are using phone. let's say that our notifications bar has black font which is saving the battery.. keeping less colors saves more battery. Hence, dark themes are love and mainly battery savers also less harm to our eyes.
