Tech TalkHere's the concept:
Problem: Unauthorized SIM removal can lead to misuse, including bypassing device security or enabling SIM-based fraud. Currently, removing a SIM only requires a SIM ejector tool or pin, without any user authentication.
Proposed Solution: Require fingerprint authentication or password input before allowing SIM tray ejection. This ensures that only the device owner can perform this action.
How It Works:
- When the user attempts to eject the SIM tray, the phone displays a prompt for fingerprint or password verification.
- Only after successful authentication does the tray unlock, allowing removal.
- Unauthorized attempts will block tray ejection and notify the user about suspicious activity.
Benefits:
- Prevents SIM misuse during theft or loss.
- Protects sensitive user data tied to the SIM card.
- Adds a layer of security for corporate and personal devices.
