Since June 2020 system update, horizontal line distortions started on display, which progressively got worse. I rebooted, and still continued.  then went to service centre at lalbag in Mumbai, where i was told to replace screen for Rs. 18k.  Didnt have backup, so delayed decision.  Magically, the display started to work well for a few days,  until about 2 weeks ago when the problem restarted, until yesterday.   Then again the magic.  yesterday was a brilliant day, sunday, a little rian, some sunshine, trip to the beach, photos, etc, and the phone worked just fine, until this morning.  New system upgrade, downloaded, installed, and since then the phone totally unresponsive.  Its got out of hand and i see from various online posts, i am not alone.  These guys looked me in the eye and told me to pay Rs. 18k for replacing a screen which went bad in a very suspect way.  I can get a great new phone for that amount, even though i want to avoid Chinese, but this issue may just force my hand.     Very unimpressed & disappointed.

is this link available in this site?  I haven't been able to locate.  Please email the link access.  As you may note, my device is with the service center, so your post above is simply pointless.

I have got back my phone from the service center yesterday. the display has been replaced by Samsung at no cost to me. grateful for that. thanks.
it was downright inconvenient, in a wfh situation, not having the phone over 2 weeks, with limited updates and extensive follow up from my end. in any case, as I mentioned, thank full and appreciative of the accountability shown by Samsung. I do not have any documentation, paperwork nor warranty on the new display, so can only hope that best service and parts are provided, with best engineering and technical people having fixed the phone. cheers.
