Googles 7years update Policy for new pixels

Google Pixel 8 series will get upto 7 years of OS updates, that's just insane.People won't even use their phone for this much time.Even apple has 6+ years update policy.I don't know why a giant company like samsung is lagging in this department,they are making android phone since 2009 but still can't provide better update policy.5 years of OS is a must atleast for expensive flagships.

Yes bro samsung should also provide min 5 yrs of os support! As the fun fact some people don't even update their phone for long time. I think people should be aware of the sw updates. And more often they don't even give a check at all.

We are still to see how Google does it for 7 years. The hardware will get old and should be able to handle load. Now a days OS have minor upgrades in between like if Android 13 was a major upgrade in terms of feature and Android 14 is minor upgrade to make the last year features better then maybe load can be handled. This can be the future plan of Google. 3 major and 3 minor upgrades with 1 extra year of security updates
