Galaxy S25 series drops Samsung Messages in favor of Google Messages

Samsung brings the Google Messages app as the default messaging app on the Galaxy S25 series instead of its own Samsung Messages.

Samsung Messages is no longer available on the Galaxy S25, Samsung has stated that users who prefer it can still use it. However, it will no longer be available for download from the Play Store, but it may be available via Galaxy Store.

Google Messages will now be the default option to provide a more streamlined and efficient messaging experience. It offers advantages like better support for RCS, which enhances the messaging experience, especially for users texting across different platforms.

Samsung Messages are better as it gives Recycle Bin, an useful feature.

I agree. Samsung Messages is definitely a good app. I am currently using it.
