Tech TalkHi, I can see that newer Samsung 4K TVs including the QLEDs have eARC support with HDMI2.1 spec. It means that it should be capable of Dolby True HD passthrough which could be handy for an Atmos home theatre setup. I know that Samsung has dropped support for DTS. So, DTS X passthrough isn't an option for Samsung TVs. Since most of the 4K Blu-ray discs are available in Dolby True HD+ Atmos so DTS isn't a requirement for me now.
Having said these, I want to know whether Plex app for Tizen in newer smart TVs with eARC will passthrough TrueHD+Atmos to a compatible eARC enabled receiver or not. Any reply will be of great help in my purchase decision. Thanks!
