Remember the 90's? The amount of time taken to open a web page or download something on your mobile network? From that to running multiple internet based applications, high resolution video buffering, and the amazing download speeds,. Whoosh! Feels like magic! Doesn't it?

Though there are many technological improvements on the network providers side. The actual magic happens when carrier aggregation and MIMO are put together. Through Carrier aggregation, 4G LTE Advance provides the user with upper limit of about 300 mbps.

In carrier aggregation, multiple frequency blocks(signals) are assigned to one user rather than using only one signal. The signals can be of same frequency or diffrent frequencies. These signals are then combined together to provide faster data speed.

Carrier aggregation is applicable to either full duplex or half duplex variants of LTE and with maximum limit set to 5 component carriers, each comprising a bandwidth upto 20MHz. Thereby, resulting in a total transmission bandwidth of up to 100 MHz.

 LET'S MAKE IT SIMPLE:

Assume a 100 liter water barell takes 1 hour to fill when there is 1 source water tap. The same barell takes way less time to fill if 1 or 2 more source water taps are added.
