Samsung India does not display the body SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) value for most of their smartphones; they only show the head SAR value. Moreover, they do not mention the body SAR value on the smartphone boxes, nor can we see the value after dialing *#07#. This raises questions about why Samsung is not providing this important information in detail, while other companies in India like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo display both head and body SAR values. It seems that Samsung is the only company not showing the body SAR value in India. 🤷♂️😕
This situation is in contrast to countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and others where both head and body SAR values are displayed. This raises concerns about potential discrimination against India. Fortunately, there is a website, https://www.samsung.com/sar/sarMain.do, which provides SAR values for every Samsung smartphone by entering the model name.
When selecting India on the website, it only shows the head SAR value. However, if you select the US or UK, it will display both the body and head SAR values. For example, if you have the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G with the model name "SM-M536B/DS," in India, the website only shows the Head SAR as 1.31 W/Kg, without displaying the body SAR. In contrast, if you select the US, it shows the Head SAR as 0.603 W/Kg and Body SAR as 1.53 W/Kg.
This discrepancy raises concerns about whether Samsung is withholding the body SAR value for India. It is important for Samsung to provide transparent and consistent information regarding SAR values to ensure consumer safety. 📱🤔💼😡
