Connect to your senior was so unnecessary. When they have the info they share it, they are just doing their job. Try to be nice to people, you will also not like it if someone talks to you like that or threatens to call on your senior for no reason.

I have lot of experience in dealing with support. They use diversionary tactics to skirt the question. Many times these people are ill informed and type template replies.
