I have been a Samsung loyalist from the day I bought the Samsung Galaxy Phone (the first Galaxy also know as Samsung's iPhone).
From there there have been many expensive phones such as Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 8 and now Galaxy Note 10.
But I didn't upgrade my phone to any flip or fold, or even the latest Galaxy S. I think there is nothing unique left in these Samsung flagship phones that I would like to flaunt. Mostly the features are gimmicks and you use for the first few times and forget about it.
The #AirActions on my S Pen stopped working a while ago. I don't know how it happened but probably some software update killed it. Now no matter how much I try to reset the pen, it just won't connect to my phone, although the writing feature works perfectly.
There used to be a real time translation feature on the camera. Now it no more.
These gimmicks which attracted me to buy the Note 10 have gone. And I guess the same would happen to upcoming flagships.
So why not iPhone. They are as expensive as the high end Samsung flagship phones and they receive new features and updates for 5 years. And the gimmicks are actually usable.
Anyone have any comments on this?

There are a lot of differences between Android and iOS and the ones you mentioned are just a small part of that. I don't like iOS, the notifications are a mess, no homepage/launcher customisation, apps have bigger install size for some reason, iOS is very restrictive and there are many other reasons. It all depends on what a person wants with their phone. I don't use most of the gimmicky features anyway. Sure, iPhone 14 pro may be the best phone ever but it is not the phone for me at all.
