TabletsI have a recently purchased S8+ and have set up several email accounts. All the accounts successfully send email. However, when one of my accounts attempts to send to a Gmail user the email is returned with the message:
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550-5.7.1 [66.96.184.6] Messages missing a valid messageId header are not
550 5.7.1 accepted. gw13-20020a0562140f0d00b004aa9d9c25c6si4879852qvb.317 - gsmtp
After examining the ASCII form of the S8+ email it seem that the Message-ID: tag is missing from the header. It seems that Google has changed their Spam detection code so that messages now need an ID. When I send email, from any of my accounts, using Thunderbird on my laptop, they all reach their Gmail destinations.
When can I expect an update to the Samsung email app on Google Play ?

TabletsIf your Gmail account suddenly stopped sending emails and it does not go and you can receive emails on your phone, my tablet and your desktop computer…then do the following:
When you experience a problem with an email account sending or receiving, the first step is to try accessing the account with a web browser, preferably one that doesn’t have extensions or add-ons installed.
Make sure to turn off your virtual private network if you’re using one. (Your VPN may be running your connection through an IP address that is blocked by your mail server. This usually happens if that IP address has been identified as a source of spam.)

James
