Today I was updating Samung Galaxy store app on my Samsung tab s7 plus, while it was installing in background the screen suddenly went off and is not turning on since then.

I have tried all the possible approaches to solve the issue, I tried restarting it multiple times by power button and volume rocker button, nothing happens just a vibration is felt, tried the same by plugging in charger and still nothing is being displayed just the charging sound can be heard.

I purchased my device last year on 2-10-2021 from flipkart. My tablet was delivered to me on 4-10-2021 but invoice date is 2-10-2021, and the customer care representative told that warranty is over on 1-10-2022. I thought that it is in warranty till today i.e. 2-10-2022 as it will be exactly 1 year today, and all service centers are closed due to holiday today. He told that only after diagnosing the issue the best solution will be reached to.

I don't know why this happened with me on exactly the same day I purchased my device last year, feeling very sad. I will be taking it to service center tomorrow and see what they will tell.

Till date haven't faced issue like this, took utmost care of my tablet, not even a scratch on its body. I am hoping that display is not dead suddenly or hardware fault due to just an app update in background, but if the service center people diagnose any part malfunction please tell what to do. Its the buggy Samsung galaxy store app update that caused this to my tablet. I will not be able to bear huge repair cost if any, its already a premium device with flagship snapdragon processor.

I would suggest everyone be please careful while updating apps too from samsung store or the store itself.I had only heard of issues of OTA updates causing restart loop after few minutes or hours, but today an app caused my tablet shut off completely.

Please comment if anyone faced similar issue and help me with any solution.

You are not under warranty. And this can be hardware issue. So they may replace screen which will cost u around 22k.
There are less chances that this is software issue so once go to service centre and get it checked by them

Even my Samsung s20 Fe screen Got A screen BLACKOUT after 6 days. My screen automatically used to turn off during calls or YouTube browsing or simply it didn't use to wake up after locking my phone. Only when I used to tap the front of screen or hard reboot only than it use to work. But it was getting too much for a newly bought phone so I got it replaced at it as it was under 14 days replacement time. Writing this comment on newly replaced s20 set.

Only solution is to never update the software of samsung smartphones or tablets. The real culprit is the software update.

The best version is the one which comes installed by default.

I am saying these from experiences of so many people. The M series and A series devices are best examples, whole motherboard gets screwed by performing software updates. Then people spend half the money they spent on device they purchased for the spare part.

I don't know why the company does not acknowledge it's fault here. Don't  push software update if it's going to corrupt the motherboard. In my case my tab S7 plus display got failed.

I have given it at service centre. They have ordered some part for it, it maybe display or motherboard...I am waiting for a response from them.

. Check and Uninstall Third-Party Apps You Recently Download Under Safe Mode

We have mentioned above that the Samsung tablet has a black screen but works still that you can hear sounds or see the indicator light flashing. This may be caused by downloading one or a group of inappropriate apps.

Usually, these applications are from third-party developers or application stores other than the Google Store. These applications are usually not tested for security, and there may be some bugs or problems. The best solution is to check whether there are problems with these applications in safe mode.

I had never installed any third party app. I use my tablet only for study purpose, making notes and reading.

All I did I was updating it to the latest software everytime one arrived for samsung.

What Samsung do is roll out faulty software which corrupts the device and innocent people go to service center and then company earn huge profit by selling spare parts.

This is the hard truth.
