I have been experiencing some bugs with the Notes app lately on my Galaxy Tab S9. When you write with a pen on an image you've imported or copied, it works great. However, the second you use a highlighter, it will look like how it's supposed to work, then your marking just disappears, leaving a barely visible faint color behind, and I don't know why. We are not allowed to place these same imported images anywhere on the note page; it forces you to a grid, like in the left-hand corners, with limited sizing options as well. If there's a setting to change this, can someone please reply? I hope Samsung fixes this with an update or like a Note Assistant app. I also don't know why that new wheel where you can access your creative tools easier is not available on my tablet. That's available on the Tab S10 and newer. I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung skips such features for Tab S9 users, the same way they withhold software features on their phones.
