I had purchased the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G online on a local website here in the UAE, Its an international version, South Korean to be exact, everything seems to be working except samsung pay, when i try to open the app or try to register my Credit/Debit/Loyalty cards its gives me an error saying "couldn't read sim card's phone number".  Any suggestions? 

Was told by Samsung UAE that i need to put a origin country (South Korea) sim card first to activate it before i can use a different country sim. Is there anyway i can bypass this.

Hi, 

Samsung Pay will work with banks partnered with Samsung Pay UAE. Hope that clarifies.

Thanks for your reply, but its the same Samsung Pay UAE partnered bank i have been using on my Note 8 & Note 10, only difference is both the Notes I purchased were UAE versions whereas the Z fold 2 is South Korean version.

IF the Z fold 2 is model SM-F916N : Korean, can we flash to SM-F916B : UAE.

Will I get e-sim enabled, 5g working, and Samsung PAY UAE also working?

5G working in uae, u can not flash with uae version f916b

You can flash UAE official stock rom using odin and the problem should be fixed. As the current rom on your device is Korea which causes these issues.

Thanks TechnoGenuine, had thought about that but am worried it will void my warranty. Everything else is working except samsung pay, dont want to flash the phone just because of it. Guess i'll just install Google Pay which has no such restrictions. If there is any other way than flashing, would really appreciate, always preferred Samsung Pay over others.

Heg RioF, it won't void your warranty as long you flash official stock rom and not custom (have done to Note 9 and still it is official and no knox trip) However GPay could do as well.
