Not able to control the phone using the mouse in wireless dex

Hello, 

I am using S21fe 888 variant and using W11 OS on my PC. 

When I connect my phone to laptop using usb cable via dex mode; I use the laptops TouchPad to control my phone in a laptop display. 

But when I connect/project my phone to laptop using wifi direct / wireless display via dex; the phone is projected on the laptops display, but I am not able to use the laptop TouchPad to control the phone. I tried in different PC and from different S21 Fe phones, none of the devices are working. The same was not working in S22. But other brand phones are working semelessly in wireless mode and able to control the phone using laptop TouchPad / mouse. 

When I connect my phone to the laptop, the notification was shown as available in the image. No such option was available in W11 OS. But other brand phones are working perfectly. Please solve this problem.

Well, I don't know a much knowledge nd experiences about this stuff, but I think I can still help u out. So, like, if u wanna control your phone's screen on ur PC, DeX mode isn't really the way to go, u know? DeX is more for using your phone on a desktop or TV, making it act like a Samsung tablet. Instead, u should try using Samsung Flow (it's on PC too) to cast ur Samsung device onto your PC with all the cool functions. If I've made any errors, please feel free to correct me.

In flow it is possible to mirror the phone similar to phone link by Microsoft. But Dex is more advanced, you can access the different applications in phone and pc; which means you're virtually using two samsung devices, but practically you have only one.

Yeah but while using dex it might be u not able to use ur pc at same time even though ur phone interferes will change nd act like samsung tablet (much similar) whereas samsung flow will allow u to use ur phone in as it is (just cast) nd it will allow u to use ur pc aswell, I hope I'm right 🙃🙃🙃

I think samsung dex means a cpu for monitor(desktop/tv)

No, in dex mode it is possible to use / access the application (not same app) in both pc and phone. Tablet view is more convenient rather than a portrait view in pc. Dex is a app used to mirror the phone not only the mobile screen.

Oooh, now I understood u r using add display option (which is for add ur phone screen on windows as multiple display) on the shared image, here i visit some websites nd found that u Need to download dex software for ur pc (https://www.samsung.com/us/business/solutions/samsung-dex/) to connect, it might be helpful for u.

Ya, it will work only in wired mode. But for wireless mode, the software bundle is provided by windows. The other brand mobiles are working good. But samsung S21 fe and S22 is not working.

I guess u can use the mobile screen as a touchpad in wifi Direct, tho it doesn't work in mine
