Samsung DeX
Hi everyone,
I’m using Samsung DeX and would like to switch the display output from landscape mode to portrait mode to fit a portrait-oriented monitor. Does anyone know how to change the display settings in Samsung DeX for this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Samsung DeX
Unfortunately, Samsung DeX currently does not officially support portrait mode output.
Here's why and what you can try:
* DeX Design: DeX is primarily designed as a desktop-like experience, which traditionally operates in landscape mode.
* Software Limitations: The current DeX software may not have the built-in functionality to rotate the display output to portrait mode.
Possible Workarounds (Not Guaranteed):
* Monitor Settings:
* Rotation: Some monitors have built-in rotation features. Check your monitor's manual or on-screen display (OSD) menu for rotation options.
* Aspect Ratio Adjustments: You might be able to adjust the aspect ratio of the display output to better fit a portrait-oriented monitor, even if it doesn't fully rotate.
* Third-Party Software (Use with Caution):
* Display Rotation Utilities: Some third-party display rotation utilities might work with DeX, but this is not officially supported and could potentially cause instability or other issues.
Important Note:
* Using unofficial methods can potentially cause software conflicts or damage your device. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.
Future Updates:
* Samsung may introduce portrait mode support for DeX in future software updates. Keep an eye on Samsung's official channels for any announcements regarding DeX updates.
I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
