Sorry for the pun But check if your phone supports compass,A developer in Xda has found out a way to simulate gyroscope by combining the data of magnetic sensor and accelo sensor to map the position of phone in three axis. The simulation will give your phone enough data to go on but it won't be as smooth as real gyro sensor.
