you can come up with this feature using which a phone can connect to wifi and then be able to act as router for others to connect to.

Phone will mimic as a router.

benefits:

1. can be used as range extender or repeater.

2. can be used to share wifi for limited time just like for a cafe or frens at home.

3. you can create rules so that when yoh share wifi of your home you have control over it. you may choose to block or allow some traffic.

4. No one would be able to tap into traffic of your home router as they will route via your phone.

it is simple, may already be sitting, no additional chip required we just need an app to gracefully control and manage this. Hence no major cost to company other than some bug fixes

yes may they can give but definitely will removed another useful feature from your device.....as we saw before....so it's better not to remove any features and fix bugs which already present in devices
