Why is it that i have to set the screen timeout everytime. I first set it at 10 mins and i do not understand how it goes back to 30 secs. This becomes irritating when i am using the phone for different tasks i.e. if i stop a little while to think of my next action, the screen would have timed out and i need to repeat the steps of activating it.
Hi bro, if your device is on pie..then adjusting screen timeout is one of the feature. Please, check if your battery is set on optimized settings or not? If yes, then disable it or disable only screen time out tab.
Open the phone’s settings app, tap device care, then tap the battery option to go into the battery menu. Here, tap the three-dot button at the top right of the screen and click on the settings option.
NOTE: Optimize settings can be found in advanced battery settings on Pie. When enabled, it can automatically reset screen brightness, screen timeout duration, and media volume to a customizable preset value. The adjustment is made at midnight each day if you’re not using the phone at the time, and you can also individually control which of the three settings are automatically reset.
