My samsung m40 hung on me, restored the factory settings but am having a tough time retrieving data. Any help/suggestions??

Did you reset your device without backup? Then it's a lost cause not possible.

Couldn't do it but contacts etc are safe. Lots of relevant WhatsApp data lost. But nothing life altering.Thank you.

Buddy even though your device got formatted, you can still get all the data back. Your data will be gone only when same bit will be occupied by another stuffs.
Just google it how to get.

It's the case of hdd.. Mobile devices it will be tough and time waste..

Maybe your contacts are stored in Google or Samsung account.. Remaining data is a lost cause.. 😔😔
