So, A50 and S10/plus all use in-display fingerprint scanners. Are there any differences between them or are they all the same?

The one on A50 is an optical scanner, meaning that the screen illuminates under your finger and the scanner optically maps your fingerprint using the light, like taking a photo.
It's the same tech that Vivo, Oppo uses on their phones.
On the other hand S10 has an ultrasonic sensor which uses sound waves that literally ricochets off of the ridges of your finger print and the scanner maps your prints accordingly. It's the first of its kind.

S10's works with the screen completely off. No part of the screen has to be illuminated

So your eyes won't get blinded when you're lying in bed at 3am and unlock your phone to scroll through Facebook or Instagram 😆😂
