Looks like the quad pixel samsung sensor have finally started to roll out in Samsung smartphones. The sensor on the galaxy m40 for instance is a 32mp 0.8um sensor that outputs 8mp 1.6um pics. I have attached two screenshots of testing these sensors. So that is good for low light shots but is not able to do so because of no dedicated night mode. Hope it will come with coming update.

So samsung has excellent hardware to provide. Let's wait for the update to provide a dedicated night mode.

I hardly know that much about tech. But do you think Samsung will take an effort and provide a fix for camera soon? I am thinking of replacing my device but I have 8 days window to apply for it.
