Something not working? System freezing, apps crashing, phone heating up?

Here are some basic troubleshooting tips:

Now, here is step one: turn it off, wait for a minute and turn it on again.

Really?

Yes, really, a lot of problems can be solved by switching your phone off once in a while, it clears your phones memory from unwanted errors/corrupted data.

So, always do this first!

That didn't work, now what?

That depends on your problem really, if it is just one app using a lot of battery (and heating up your device) or behaving bad otherwise you may try this:

  • Go to system settings -> Apps
  • Choose the app giving you problems
  • Clear the app cache and data.

If this still doesn't work you may uninstall the app, reinstall it after a restart of your phone, you may also try to clear system cache as described below ⬇️

Freezing, lagging, heating? Then the first thing you should do is:

Clear your system cache.

--Choose "Wipe cache", DO NOT CLEAR DATA!

Always do this before running OTA updates or flashing a beta or whatever!

If your phone is freezing, lagging, heating or otherwise behaving erratic chances are your system cache got corrupted. This often happens with lousy programmed apps (Facebook!) and/or after system updates.

If nothing else is not working the only solution may be too perform a factory reset.

This will bring your phone back to the state it left the factory.

Factory reset

Always backup all your Stuff before doing this!

Wifi not working

  • Try switching off the router and your phone.
  • Restart router, after it is done start your phone
  • Wipe your network settings on your phone.
  • Do you have a battery saving App? It may kill your wifi...
  • The WiFi Fixer App may come in handy

Problems charging*

  • Make sure the charging block and cables are properly and completely inserted.
  • You may try a different cable if you have one
  • Phone won't turn on after being fully discharged: can normally be resolved by ensuring you are using an official charger and official cable and leaving it for 10 minutes

If you have any useful solutions or suggestions I'll be glad to add them to this post (and credit you for it of-course)
