I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent One UI 7.0 update, specifically regarding the new theme and icon design in dark mode. As a long-time Samsung user, I have always appreciated the aesthetics and attention to detail in your software design—until now.
The new default theme introduced in One UI 7.0 feels visually unappealing and inconsistent, especially for users like me who primarily use dark mode. The addition of white backgrounds behind app icons completely disrupts the immersive dark experience. The design looks cluttered and mismatched, making the interface feel less premium than it did in One UI 6.1.
Furthermore, the new widgets also lack visual harmony. Some appear outdated or improperly styled compared to others, which hurts the consistency that One UI was previously praised for.
I kindly request that you consider:
Bringing back the cleaner, more elegant icon design from One UI 6.1.
Offering a toggle or option to disable the white icon backgrounds.
