I've been wondering about this for a while now,
So recently, I just brought a new adapter, and on the outer packaging, it was written PD adapter, which was confusing🤔
I've heard people talk about 'PD' and 'QC' type of chargers, but I don't really know the differences.
Will anyone explain all this to me

PD (Power Delivery) and QC (Quick Charge) are both technologies that allow your devices to charge faster than a standard charger. Here's a breakdown of the key differences:

Technology provider:
PD: Universal standard developed by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) QC: Proprietary technology by Qualcomm

Compatibility:
PD: More widely compatible with various devices (Apple, Android, laptops) QC: Primarily found in Android devices with Qualcomm processors
Power delivery:
PD: Uses higher voltage and current for faster charging (up to 100W) QC: Uses various voltage levels (5V, 9V, 12V) and current for different charging speeds (up to 18W for QC 4+)

Common version:
PD: PD 3.0 (most common) QC: QC 4+ (supports PD 3.0 functionality as well)
Here's a quick takeaway:

Choose PD for: Wider compatibility, potentially faster charging for laptops and high-wattage devices. Choose QC for: Primarily Android devices with Qualcomm processors, might be slightly less powerful than latest PD versions.
