It is four days now I got my S8+. Yesterday I set up password for screen lock/unlock successfully. It also worked successfully for next one operation. But then my phone was not opening. It said incorrect password. It was also not allowing me to switch off the device. I am sure I am typing the correct password only but it says incorrect password. There is a serious flaw in your system. For next 24 hours I was rendered scared and helpless. Then taking help from Google, I managed a hard reset of the phone. This erased all data !!!. Very frustrating experience on buying such a costly phone.

That's a major problem,this is why I am always skeptical in putting Fingerprint lock on my phone, as it has once happened with my private mode password, even though I was right but it was saying wrong password. I had to factory reset my phone to make private mode work again

Same case with screen lock, after restarting phone they ask for PIN, fingerprint doesn't work after phone restart, in case it will say wrong PIN some day, we would have no option left but to hard reset

Dude u can go to Findmymobile.samsung.com and unlock from there. No need to factory reset

Thank you for sharing your concern. We would like to inform you that Samsung provides "Find My Mobile" security feature. You need to register your phone on the site and can remotely lock/unlock your device. Also you can find more advance security features.

same thing happened to me now i enter corrwct password then also it says incorrect password
