Spammers, now a days, are sending bulk promotional / spam / phishing SMS from XY-12345, XY-ABCDE.
While there's an option to Block senders containing only Numeric characters, there's no such option to Block senders having Alphabets/ Alphanumeric characters.
At present only solution, abandon Samsung Messaging app. Use Google messages.
