Samsung might bring back the mighty adoptable storage to its flagship Galaxy devices with the latest software update. First spotted by SamMobile, the report states that a user from XDA has discovered this new adoptable storage on his Galaxy Note 9 running Android 9.0 Pie beta version. To give some insight, adoptable storage is a feature introduced with Android Marshmallow earlier, which allowed users to insert their external storage (microSD) card to combine with the devices’ built-in storage to make it unified storage. Though Google introduced it with Android Marshmallow, Samsung chose not to utilize that stating it would be beneficiary to budget phones and not the flagship phones since they already have an ample of onboard storage options.
