The battle is with tsmc foundry Tsmc foundry made chips are good with performance and battery optimisation and add on with Snapdragon engineering that make it more effective thats why the 8+ gen 1 , 8 Gen 2 and 7+ Gen 2 are the best in market. And for SD past 3 generation chips were made on Samsung foundry and those were failures. They were heating like hell and battery optimisation were rubbish on those chipset.( 888, 888+ and 8 Gen 1). Now Google is also ditching samsung foundry for their 2025 Pixel phones. They are moving to tsmc 3nm fabrication.
it is for those whose priority is good camera and good software experience and longer and timely software updates. These people don't care about performance and battery life.
