SD Card issue

My Galaxy A16 has an issue of not recognising my SD Card sometimes, I wanna know if it's my phone or the SD Card.

Try formatting it using you phone...if still doesn't work use a computer to format it...if it doesn't inserting on another phone if it works on a different it might be a compatibility issue

It already has files, I will move stuff to a laptop then format

Some of Samsung phones give us a big problem indeed. Mine didn't recognise fast charging in the past few days I did all i knew but still it didn't till I turn off fast charging feature and started charging and after a couple of days I turned on the fast charging and it worked again 😅 just imagine

Yeah and sometimes the cause might be that the sd card had been inserted to many different devices with hidden malware so as a protection feature samsung choses not to utilize the card to prevent unintended harm to your phone 🙂‍↕️

Format the SD card using a PC with file system exFAT. Then, put it in your phone. Now, use the card normally. If the SD card is not recognised by your phone sometime, remove the SD card and put it in the PC. Open the readable files like photos, videos, pdfs, etc.. If the software on the PC fails to open a file on the SD card or show error messages, likely the file are corrupted which means the SD card is malfunctioning and need to be replaced. Some signs of a failing SD card:

1. Device require you to format the SD card when inserted.

2. Corrupt files.

3. Slow to stalled read/write speed.

4. Corrupted file system

5. Etc...
