OthersHello Samsung,
I'm a great appreciator of Samsung devices and using them for around 7-8 years, I'm using them since age of Galaxy S3 and currently holding Galaxy S20 plus. I really have few disappointments about the 2 features those are pulled back from the latest S series,
1) Notification indicator.
2) Oxymeter.
I've upgraded to S20plus from S9 plus and S9 plus was pretty much having these 2 very very useful features to me. My wife is using S10 and atleast that has Oxymeter in place. But S20 plus is legging in both. :(
I can understand about the notification light has been revoked due to bazel constraint but I think that can be bring back on the camera notch in upcoming One UI updates , I can see there is a beautiful animation light on camera notch while phone is unlocked, the same kind of light can be leveraged for notification light with multiple colours and It will really be great to display on AOD (but surely without turning on AOD or turning on it in a way so that we can enable it with light feature only) and should be keep on glowing like S9 plus until app notification is not seen. It will really be a great feature to consumers (Without touching the phone I can see which app has the notification, really great feature for me). I'm sharing a link for your reference that one app was created by some company But It will be great this kind of feature is to be the part of One UI in more optimised and for less battery consumption (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.alwaysondisplay&hl=en_IN&gl=US).
I know Oxymeter hardware has been removed from the device I really don't see any reason here since that can be mounted back on the device. But it's really a great loss to the consumers and at-least in this pandemic situation. Unfortunately I have wearable device Galaxy watch 46 mm and that too has no SPO2. (Very surprising for me, even old galaxy s8 has the same).
Thanks
Jitender
