restart your device or force restart your device by pressing power key and volume down key together for 10 seconds...it will not erase your device data ,it can clear software glitch if it's there....then clear cache of Google play service and play store cache
also check if auto update is enabled for WiFi only then reset it to any Network, as otherwise it will get updates only on WiFi and not through your Data...
