According to a study Qualcomm fast charging chipset is used at the 40 % of all mobiles in the worlds in number the value would cross 900 million. Now come to the topic
The Qualcomm fast charging enabled devices could be hacked or spyed easily due to a vulnerability found on it.The vulnerability has been found in Snapdragon's digital signal processor (DSP)
And till today research it could open up the possibility of data theft, spying, and can potentially even lead to bricking of the devices
And the bricking of the phone may happen in case the hacker performs a DDoS attack
The vulnerability also gives hackers access to confidential data on the device, including calls, contacts, location, photos, real-time microphone data
And the best things is Qualcomm has acknowledged the vulnerabilities, informed Google, Samsung, and other brands about the same, and started working on patches
But until the patches given by updates till then you need to be more conscious while doing something extra (like root or install modified apps and some pirated tv apps etc )
And please till then don't install any app from unknown untrusted developer even from play store & galaxy store.
yes i understand sir but the problem with big brands are they would surely mask the issue by doing some software level security and surely said we are safe.
