Q990b soundbar - surround or adaptive (+tv) mode

As I have a samsung tv, it allows me to play sound on the tv and my q990b speakers simultaneously.

For some reasons when you select this mode, the surround option gets disabled, and you only have adaptive sound option.If it's only the soundbar without the tv speakers, surround mode is enabled.

So my question is would it be better to use adaptive mode (tv speakers+ soundbar) or use surround mode (only soundbar). 

(I mainly watch tv shows)

If you watching movies or listening musing you can enable surround mode. Or else you can use adaptive mode

I have understood and I would like to inform you that Adaptive Mode is the best for multichannel content like movies and games. Surround Mode (with the virtual setting on) is the best for stereo content like music and TV shows.
