Mi A1 is stock android (android one ) and so is one plus with a custom skin of oxygen os which is the lightest of them
Samsung gives their own UI ie touchwiz which is heavy as shit that's why they need time to test it to implement it better so don't compare without getting full knowledge. Have you seen any mi phone other than A1 getting Oreo yet cause it's same heavy like Samsung or even any other OEM using their own custom skin

Bro, I don't say anything about Mi or Xiaomi. I just wanna say about "Android One" by Google.
As a low budget phone they got Oreo update, but what about Samsung the top brand in the world ??

android one was supposed to be a solution by Google so that every OEM can easily push out updates but the OEMs want their own imprint on their phones so they don't go that way

Samsung is the only company which launches more phones and has a higher number of phones than other companies.You can choose low budget to premium range.But they have to develope an OS for every phones and it needs testing and other improvements so it takes some time and people should keep some patience.And it is obvious that stock android will be faster than any other customized UI.

stock android would win any day over any custom ui but each OEM has their own ui to promote their uniqueness and Samsung has so many models it's task to get a stable ui for each of those

I don't Know Why People Are Crying For Oreo Update. There Is Not Much Difference Between Nougat And Oreo Visually. Also With Samsung's UI on Top You won't Even Notice That The Phone Is running Nougat Or Oreo.
And If You Wanted Fast Updates Go Buy The Pixel Phones Or The Flagships.
