One UI is overhyped. Do update, whenever it comes out, but then you'd wish you'd never updated.

Short of replacing the CPU/GPU, which is, unfortunately, not possible on phones, unlike desktop computers, there's not much you can do about performance. A software update isn't a remedy for a substandard CPU/GPU. You're going to have to either learn to live with it, or get yourself a new phone.

I have the M30, but a cousin suggested we swap phones for a week or two. He did want to check out the M30, and I felt I'd get an idea of One UI. So, for the moment, I have the A30.

Battery life was really good on the M30. Of course, the extra 1000 mAh does play it's part, but there's no excuse for a 4000-mAh battery to drop down so quickly.

I rebooted my phone on, say, a 90% charge, and after powering up, the charge was at 96%. It's happened several times, where the power left has always climbed up after a reboot.

It's overall slower, especially with changing themes.

And then there are aesthetic issues, too. The Settings menu, for example. Everything has been clubbed into "boxes." This creates major problems with themes. Check out the screenshot below. This was an otherwise all-blue menu on Samsung Experience. You can see the effect of boxes. I have a couple of dark themes that have the same issue - black boxes surrounded by white. Not to mention the amount of unnecessary space reserved for the heading "Settings."

I can still go on, but I hate typing lengthy texts on mobile keyboards.
